Doctrinal Beliefs

We believe that the Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God’s revelation of Himself to man, the history of our universe from beginning to end, a reliable record of divine words and deeds, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds and opinions should be tried. 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:21

We believe that God is the One and Only who has always existed, Creator of the universe and all creatures in it, Judge of all nations, absolutely just yet fully of mercy; He is the Redeemer, preserver, Ruler of the heaven and earth. He has revealed Himself to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit with distinct personal attributes, equal in every divine perfection executing distinct offices

We believe that there is only one true and living God, existing in three persons — Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Each is a distinct Person, but they are all of one essence; they all have the same nature, perfection and attributes, and each is worthy of precisely the same worship, confidence and obedience (Genesis 1:1-3, 26; Matthew 3:16, 17; John 1:1, 14, 10:30, 14:26, 15:26; Matthew 28:19).

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, buried and rose from the dead on the third day. Later, He ascended into Heaven after forty days where He sits at the right hand of God Almighty; therefrom He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. We believe that Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, is fully divine and fully man.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Godhead, very God, existent with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit is the chief agent in regeneration, active in creation, conviction, preservation, sanctification and equipping the believer for a life of purity, power and service. (Matthew 28:19; John 16:7-11; Acts 5:3,4; Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 12:12-14)

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

We believe that Adam is the primogenitor of the human race, and the origin of nations and languages at the tower of Babel.

We believe that mankind was created good and upright, but by voluntary transgression fell short of the glory of God. (Genesis 1:16-27; 2:17; 3:6; Romans 5:12-19).

We believe Salvation is the process of being redeemed from our sinful state and it begins with repentance of sins against God, faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord, baptism by immersion in water and reception of the Holy Spirit. It continues with adding holiness to forgiveness, it requires persevering trust and obedience and ends with removal of all sins and restoration of the divine image.  2 Cor. 7:9; 1 Thess. 1:9, 1 Cor. 15:11, Eph. 1:13, Gal. 3:27, Eph. 5:26, 2 Cor. 1:22, Gal. 3:2,

We believe in the existence of a personal, malignant being called Satan who acts as tempter and accuser of brethren. (2 Corinthians 4:4; 1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 20:2)

We believe in the water baptism. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47; Romans 6:4; Acts 20:21; Hebrews 10:22)

We believe in the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:26, Mark 14:22-25, Matthew 26:26-29, Luke 22:14-20)

We believe in making disciples of all nations. (Matthew 4: 19; 28:16-20, Acts 1:8)

We believe in divine healing (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17

We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ (Matthew 24:44, Revelation 22:20, Acts 1: 10-11, John 14:3)

We believe in the lake of fire (Hell) (Revelation 19:20, Revelation 20:10-15)

We believe in the new heavens and the new earth (2 Peter 3:13, Revelation 21, Revelation 22).

We believe the Church is the body on earth of Christ, the head in Heaven. It is made up of true believers in the whole world (universal) and in one place (local). It is for the worship of God, instruction of disciples, fellowship for believers, administration of baptism and communion, discipline of members, evangelism of unsaved and service to the community.

We believe in the FUTURE that the state of the World will get worse, not better, until the bodily return of Jesus to rule on earth, in the resurrection of the saints to reign with Him, in the dissolution of the present universe, in the final judgement of living and dead by Jesus Christ, that the guilty are consigned to everlasting torment in hell and the  innocent are given everlasting life with God.

We believe that God has ordained the family from the outset as the foundational institution of human society. It is composed of people related to one another by marriage, blood, or adoption. Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. The husband and wife are of equal worth before God, since both are created in God’s image. The marriage relationship models the union between Christ and His church. A husband is to love his wife as Christ loved the church. He has the God-given responsibility to provide for, protect, and lead his family. A wife is to submit herself graciously to the servant leadership of her husband even as the church willingly submits to the headship of Christ. Children, from the moment of conception, are a blessing and heritage from the Lord. Parents are to teach their children the Bible, and through consistent lifestyle examples and loving discipline, to make choices based on biblical truth. Children are to honor and obey their parents.
